Introduction
MacChUG's focus is to provide a forum for Mac users to share our interest and knowledge of the world's most graceful personal computer. We are a network and resource for users of all experience levels to connect with one another and exchange information and knowledge. Our goal is to promote the Mac, survive and thrive in a Windows world, and assist any and all users in advancing their skills, regardless of their platform of choice.
Membership
Membership benefits include:
- The MacChUG Line, an entertaining and informative monthly newsletter.
- Your own prestigious macchug.com email address.
- The MacChUG library from which members may check out software, books, tutorials, AND digital cameras!
- Special Interests Groups, a.k.a. SIGs, are subject-specific forums (such as Novices and Genealogy) where questions can be answered, techniques demonstrated and problems discussed.
- At every meeting prizes are raffled off. These prizes can range from posters and t-shirts to commercial software of all values. Members get their first ticket FREE and only members are eligible for the first ticket drawn. Once a year we have our "Big Ol' Raffle" where we raffle off a brand new Macintosh computer, along with numerous other high-value prizes.
- Membership dues are $25 per household per year and are collected annually.
Meetings
- Meetings are held in Chico at the Masonic Family Center (1110 W. East Ave.). We meet on the third Thursday of the month, September through June. SIGs start at 6:30 p.m., regular meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. Membership is not required to attend. VISITORS WELCOME!
